Conference in Glasgow: ISLAE: International Conference: Innovation Support in Latin America and Europe.

The 4th and 5th of December of 2009, at the Saltire Centre of the  Glasgow Caledonian University, the "International Conference: Innovation Support in Latin America and Europe", took place, organized by the partners of the KickStart Project.

The themes of the conferences included:

1- Innovation and systems of innovation

2- Innovation and competitivity in difficult times.

3- Interchange of knowledge, creativity and initiatives.

4- Comercialization of innovation

5- Interchange of knowledge and capacity of buidling of political dimensions

6- Innovation in Latinoamerica.

7- Learning the practical issues of innovation

During this conference Francesco Fedele and Rosemary Navarrete-poretti, of the Università degli Studi "Guglielmo Marconi" gave the presentation "Knowledge Exchange and Capacity Building" presnting the EL-Gate Project, its characteristics and the first conclusions coming from the work being done.

During the meeting a number of contacts have been made with institutions which have shown to be interested in the objetctives of the EL-Gate project - these institutions have been invited to partecipate in the  activities of the project.

A few of the contacts established incude:

-Pontificia Universidad Católica de Perú, thru its representative, Eduardo Ismodes;

-Universidad Central de Colombia, thru its representative, Julio María Rodríguez;

-University of Munster, of Germany, thru its Office for Innovation;

-RedCiencia, thru its representative, Filippo Pacciarini.

Objective of the Project

The objective of the project is to help develop and strenghten the offices for International Cooperation thru the transfer and adaptation to Latin-American Universities of some of the models adopted with success in European Universities.
