On July 17th, 2009, EL Gate partners conducted an interview with the Director of Universidad de Alicante’s Oficina de Gestion de Proyectos Internacionales, Mr. Robert Escarré.    The precious information gathered from the interview will serve to distill key best practices in order to determine how to adapt them to the Latin American university environment.  It is noteworthy that Universidad de Alicante, along with Università degli Studi Guglielmo Marconi recently boasts the successful approval of several TEMPUS IV European project proposals.

On November 17, 2009, EL Gate partners conducted an interview with the Vice Rector of the UNED International Relations Department, Mr. Fernando Monges.    Among the interesting information shared by the Vice Rector, includes the importance UNED has placed since its founding in 1972 on the social dimension of its activities.  By responding to the reality faced by both incoming immigrants and outgoing emigrants of Spanish heritage through its associated centers, UNED has been able to create and maintain a stronghold in the regions characterized as the Spanish Diaspora.
